I'm stuck on a page, the computer won't let me go forward, what should I do?
Because of Nevada state regulations concerning on-line traffic schools, students must spend a minimum amount of time on each page. Usually just a minute or so. Go back and reread all the information on the page and you should be able to continue forward.
Additionally, some pages have questions. These questions must all be answered before you can continue with the class.
I'm done with the class, what do I need to do now?
We notify Henderson Municipal Court by fax soon after you complete your final exam. However you still need to sign and notarize your certificate of completion and mail it to the address at the bottom of your certificate. This serves as proof that you completed the class. You will also need to call Henderson Municipal Court to notify them that you have completed and to check to see if there is anything else the court needs you to do.
What is an Address Verification Mismatch when I try to pay for my class?
In order to reduce credit card fraud we use a series of security measures including matching the billing address of your credit card against the information you give us when you sign up for a class. If the billing address on your card does not match what was given to us when you attempted to sign up for the class your card will be declined and we will not take money from your account. However we have to contact your bank so that we can run this check and therefore your bank may or may not put a hold on your funds even if your card is declined in this manner. Since we will not actually take the money from your account your bank will release the hold after generally 24-48 hours depending on your bank. If you do get this error when trying to enroll in one of our classes we recommend that you call your bank to make sure their records are up to date and complete and then call us to make sure that your money is not unnecessarily tied up.
When can the class be taken?
Since this is an on-line class, you can take your class 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How is the class given?
There are three main parts to this class: A 15 question pre-test so that you can gauge your current knowledge of Nevada State traffic laws and to help you determine how much you learn during the course, the instructional material that constitutes the bulk of the class, and a 30 question final exam that you must pass in order to complete the class. This class is regulated by the state of Nevada as a four hour class, but due to factors beyond our control such as your reading speed or Internet connect you may take a different amount of time to complete the class. You do not have to complete this class in one sitting. The computer will remember where you are in the class; so that if you leave, the computer will take you back to the last page you were viewing. If you leave the class while you are taking the pre-test or the final exam the computer will mark the question you were viewing as incorrect but it will allow you to continue the class from the next question in the test.
How do I log off?
You do not need to do anything special to log off. Our computer remembers where you are in the class, so you can leave the course at any time. When you log back on using the email address and password you used when you first registered on our site, the computer will take you back to the last page you viewed.
What happens if I get disconnected from the class?
Our computer keeps track of your progress through the class, so that if you get disconnected all you need to do is log back on using the email address and password you gave us when you first registered on our site.
I failed the final exam, what do I do now?
We are required by state regulations to make you wait for 4 hours after traffic school and 1 hour after DUI school before you can take the test again. We recommend that you spend this time going back over the instructional material. You do not have to pay again in order to take the test, in fact you can take the test as many times as you need to in order to pass.
The computer forgets the answers I put in, what's going on?
During the instructional material we may give you questions based on the particular page you are on. Although you have to answer these questions in order to continue these questions are neither graded nor are they reported to anyone. We believe that slowing down to answer questions enhanced the learning process. Also many of these questions appear on the final exam, which is graded.
How do I find out how I did on the test? How do I find out which questions I missed?
If you do not pass the final exam the computer will report to you how well you did. We will not report to you which questions you missed because if you fail the test we want you to go back over all the instructional material with a fresh mind. Remember that true/false type questions are often written to be slightly misleading in order to make sure that the person taking the test is really thinking hard about the questions.
I don't have a printer, how do I print out the certificate of completion?
Since our computer identifies you by the email address and password you give us when you first register on our site, you can access our site from any computer with Internet access. Many people in this situation borrow a friend's computer to print out their certificate of completion. Also many libraries, Internet Cafes or stores like Kinkos™ or The UPS Store™ will allow you to print for a fee.
How long does the class take?
Our level 1 Nevada Traffic Safety school is regulated by the state of Nevada as a four hour course, and our Nevada DUI School is regulated as an 8 hour course. Depending on factors beyond our control such as your reading speed or Internet connection the actual time required to finish the course may be different.
